Keeping guys in the first 18 months is going to be difficult for a while. Wonder how we’ll try to counteract that.

The CBA allows the company to raise 1st year pay to something close to 95% of 2nd year pay any time they want to.

system bid -04
34 new hires June class posted in April advancement sept bid

-05
26 new hires July class posted in may advanced oct bid

-06
32 new hires Aug class posted in June advanced nov bid

-07
42 new hires Sept class posted in Aug advanced dec bid

no bid was posted in July, but the aug bid just reduced the time to advance by a month so everything is still on schedule.

Nice - 134 new hires since June if you include the upcoming September class. Still seems to me we need to upgrade more.

on these 4 system bids there were also 60 upgrades. so the numbers make sense. 60 upgrades means 120 new hires. so I'm assuming 14 out of the 134 are factored in for leaving early or not making it.

what do you mean by "the aug bid just reduced the time to advance by a month so everything is still on schedule." Are you talking about the effective dates?
