Looks like alot of MIA trips start with a limo to FLL, can we drive to FLL, skip the limo, and get pay protected for that?

You can deviate from deadheads or limos at the beginning or end of a sequence, just call crew scheduling and let them know. It's not a "may I" situation, it's an "I AM deviating" statement of fact. Obviously you are paying for parking. Welcome bro :)

Since we're talking about it, has Miami significantly shrunk? I've noticed only 48 FO's. was that more than this point last year? Is a base closure imminent or are they going to ramp up some good Columbia flights in the near future?

I dont think its gonna close, but it is definitely a seasonal base it seems like. I am sure they shrunk it because they want the crews in PHX and LAS for when DFW opens so they can displace to there if they need to.
At the time Miami was our most junior base and somebody correct me if I am wrong but wasn’t half the base Reserve? |

It costs money to displace pilots so I don’t think that is ever the intended plan. It probably more like they see they can make more money faster with those pilots in another location so they make the shift. Just like how we open a close routes quickly if they can make more money somewhere else.

Pretty sure like 20+ pilots were reserve in a base with like under 15 daily departures. Buddy of mine said they had like 12 F9 pilots in their crashpad barely getting called.

For the folks saying your worst day at F9 was still better than your best day at a regional, can you expand on that? What exactly is different that makes it so much better? Honest question, only know regional life here...
