Default Biffle still looking for dance partner?

Hey guys. Ive got no skin in the game here, no stock pump, etc, but just watched this video.

One thing that jumps out to me is your Presidents energy about "smaller carrier" mergers to compete against the " big four."

The Spirt deal might be done, but it sure sounds like Biffle is very interested in another merger. I might be wrong, but that's my read.

Sorry, as I know the topic is exhausting after all you guys just went through with Spirit, but I don't think the music has stopped playin and Biffle is looking for another dance partner.

In any event. Be well, good luck, and thanks for the jumpseats.

I’ve been hearing more Allegiant rumors lately than anything else. I hope they’re inaccurate, but it does make sense and explains why Frontier is moving into the hotel/car rental space as well.

It makes sense. Same type and why fight over a 10% or less sliver of marketshare at the seasonals for Frontier/waste time trying to get into bigger markets with directs from Flint for G4? Might as well team up

The only thing with that is Allegiant’s current fleet is mostly “gently used” rattletrap Airbus’, to include a bunch of A319s. Both things that Frontier wants nothing to do with. Toss in Allegiant’s massive order for a bunch of brand new 737max’s and it is a very questionable marriage from a fleet standpoint.

I suppose a likely scenario would be that Indigo buys Sunseeker (or whatever the Allegiant hotel brand is), Frontier takes over Allegiant and ditches their fleet, the Allegiant pilot seniority list solves the Frontier pilot staffing problems for a few years, and Indigo/Frontier go on to make a killing by taking possession of, and immediately leasing out, Allegiant's Max orders.

I forget, what union represents Allegiant pilots? Are they Teamsters?

They are teamsters. And they are not good.

I don't think this merger is very likely. Allegiant is more of a vacation package company and less of an airline. If Indigo wanted to buy them they probably could but it would be a lot more complicated merger than Spirit.

The fleet issue is definitely an obstacle. They don't have any airbus orders, only 737s. They would have either run dual fleets which is highly unlikely, or sell off the 737s or cancel the order but then you don't have planes you need. Doesn't make much sense to me

He seems real concerned about the busy holiday season operation as he does his TV spots from what looks to be a Stemboat condo.

True. Leasing to Sunny would be a solid move or maybe it's bait for WN to come get em?

Biffle is not stupid. The Spirit boondoggle was a big goat rope and he was left empty handed, having trusted a girl's "yes" to the prom. He got stood up.

never again.

Biffle is pushing the gas pedal down and is out to be the dominant / only ULCC, on his own. No partners, agreements, nothing. as corny as it sounds, he is unleashing the animal
