I have spoken to several instructors that all had the same comment. If you can’t reach a level of professional apathy knowing most of the people you train are going right out the door then you won’t do well in the training department. It bothers them. The ones that have been doing it for decades and making $500K per year simply don’t care anymore. They care about the quality of the job they do they just don’t care that Barry is driving the company into the earth. Maybe they reached their retirement goals and now their paychecks are just gravy on top. Who knows, but at some point it would bother anyone knowing the fruits of their efforts go right out the door because the company you work for doesn’t treat it’s people or its clients well at all.

I'm just trying to keep some perspective and fairness on this forum. It's been a lot of doom and gloom here lately. I was simply pointing out that the airline has been making money
again, every airline made money in Q2.

I don’t get why a CEO would purposely tank his company with all the chicken little BS. Maybe bookings are down but you don’t go all doom and gloom. These guys are up to something fishy.

maybe HaikuF9 has some insight ?

Making it look like ULCC isn’t viable anymore so we can merge with AA.

I'm beginning to believe it reliability is a very high percentage is the reason our loads are fralling. Customers can't trust us to get them where they are heading in a reasonable timeframe. This eats into vacations and upsets employers on the return. This is a major problem. I was recently JSing on AA 321s and they were 100% full in both directions. Demand isn't down, demand for F9 is.

And blaming awful on time metrics on the crews ain’t helping. The other day there were five F9 airplanes at DFW waiting for the gates. These weren’t planes that diverted or anything. Regularly scheduled flights. Three gates. We shut down on a pad for over an hour. We got to our gate and no one thought we might need fuel to leave. So, that delayed us about another thirty minutes. Nobody seems to give a ****** and somehow it’s the pilots’ fault.

Why are you shutting down? You know what's going on right now, correct?

Cough... DFW is tight parking and need two engines to safely bring that bird in the gate. Cough.
