backpack…ok, I can get behind that one. Puffer jacket? Who cares. I have not seen a large swath of “sloppy pilots” as you imply. Also, a hat and double breasted jacket doesn’t make a sloppy person look any better, which there are plenty of at big D. Pay should absolutely be based on equipment, not the paint on the side of the plane….at least to a large extent.
I really wish you all the best, but I think your demands are unrealistic. |

What exactly makes Frontier pilots believe they can demand legacy rates?
I've heard the "aIrBuS pIlOt StAnDaRd RaTe" argument, which means absolutely nothing. If you're such a valuable "Airbus pilot" asset, why are you not leaving? Why haven't you left? I am asking these questions in a genuine way. If a company doesn't give you what you want, you leave if you can get it elsewhere. If you can't leave for a better company, you stop complaining and get what you can. Or a better one. You’re married and you and your spouse are having an argument? Do you just cut and run at the first sign of trouble? Sometimes it’s better to leave, and sometimes you’re just arguing how to load the dishwasher. Why would you leave? Since Covid and the mega hiring wave that transpired about 400 of the 1600 pilots have left. So a whopping 75% have still decided it’s better to stay than to leave for whatever reason. As an ALPA member you have an obligation to support the profession and that includes not letting one group suffer while you succeed. Just look at Spirit. They went from darlings to in the dirt in 5 years time. It can happen quick and at the exact wrong time in your career. There were many other airline pilots marching at the picket including Delta pilots. A rising tide lift all boats. |

Thank you for answering the questions. But I should add that while in a perfect world pay would be based on equipment, unfortunately that's not the case in the real world. It's not the color on the side of the plane. It's how much revenue the plane generates. A full F9 A321 doesn't make as much money as a half full DL one. And please, don't fool yourself with false comparisons. A server in a fancy restaurant also makes more than a server in Denny's.

Let use another example. There have been two administration changes in the last decade. Did you leave the country just because you didn’t get what you want? Or did you grin and bear it and look forward to the next opportunity?

My issue is with the people who are NOT happy, and claim that they can leave, but deep down they know they can't. |

Dude, then a cruise ship captain or a train engineer has to make 100 times more than us. It's not like your saving anyone's life on a daily basis. It's just something you LIKE to think. A job in any industry pays proportionate to how much money it can generate, not how many "lives you're responsible for." |

How are they not? How much CASM increase can the model bear? What should a Frontier pilot make? What if Spirit dies? What if we are the remaining ULCC presence and margins double over night? What if the fuel prices go down? What if Barry is correct at we reach double digit margins next year? Are we okay to ask for more money or are you still hoping we will be paid less because we are just Dennys servers and you’re a big boy that made it all the way to Chilis?

Your examples are just false comparisons. A JOB is not a marriage or a matter of citizenship and country.

You have to consider the “what ifs” because contracts and then the process to amend them last so long. Many things can change and quickly as per my previous example. |

I’m moving on. You don’t even know how an analogy works.

Hope for consistent single digits first. |
