Hey Frontier guys…I realize there are over 200 posts to this thread however I respectfully ask for some updated information to a few questions that I'm sure I'm not the only one seeking. Things have evolved and your airline has grown significantly and this thread may be a bit outdated with information.
When will you have an opportunity to ratify or change your current contract?
-Currently, as a bus operator, F9 is well below the compensation package of other similar carriers.
Is the upgrade time still 7/8 years?
Do you have much overtime or should one solely count on 75 hours?
Whats your take on the direction of the airline with Indigo? Continued growth or different direction?
I sure do appreciate any responses. I've been seeking opportunity with Frontier and really like the product so the information received here is valuable to me. Looking forward to the job fair in ORD.

Contract is up for amendment in 2017. Upgrades are going at around 5 years now, however many very senior FOs are holding out so an accurate estimate isn't possible at this point. On reserve here, you are not allowed to pick up OT. Which is really my only complaint about working here (besides the low pay rates). I moved in base and would be happy to pick up OT on rsv-I don't fly that much and the extra pay would be very helpful-however it's not allowed. The direction here is very positive. I'm a very realistic and rational person and I have to say that everyone I've worked with here (training, line pilots, rsv pilots, check airmen, etc) are generally very positive and it's a very pleasant work environment. We're hiring a lot, there's many aircraft on order, and it's a great time to start working here-especially if you're leaving a regional.

To clarify the clarification, You can pick up next day on reserve if you are on reserve the next day. it is not in addition to your guarantee unless you are already over guarantee.

When trying to pick up flying for next day reserve(aggressive reserve bidding) it's done by bucket then first in first out and seniority. I tried 3 out of 4 days this week and didn't get any flying till the end. It is nice to be able to bid on the flying as it has worked in the recent past for me it's just not a guarantee that you can pick it up every time. I have no idea about the transition though which sounds correct. I may need to look into that.
As for the contract..someone correct me here if wrong .. I thought it "could" be opened a year early which would mean this coming Jan 16. It must be opened in 2017. Am I missing something? Also I have heard that some people hired in 2013 are real close to upgrade so the new hiring may speed up that 5 yr timeline.

Thanks Sulk. My terminology was off. I was saying that it was based on short call first then long and medium in seniority order. My apologies as buckets wasn't correct. The main point was that picking up time on reserve can be done but isn't a guarantee. It's an excellent system though especially coming from other systems where it isn't allowed. Thx for the correction.

I used them just to avoid confusion. We're all learning as we go. One other thing I learned is that a sick call, or RGS, or SIM does not put you in the back of the line either. Only a 'reserve assignment' counts toward FIFO. Regardless of where you see yourself on the reserve availability. Just an FYI - but somehow I think I was the only dummy that didn't know this

Basically everyone that's new is ending up in Denver. Chicago is too small and all the senior FOs are upgrading out of Denver, which requires back-filling. I would assume the east coast base will lead to some shuffling with Chicago.

Thanks for adding clarification. I meant picking up OT ABOVE gauruntee pay (and not only in the transition, since many rsv lines have you working during transition). My point is, that as a junior reserve pilot, you will pretty much never make more than 75 hrs of pay.
