It will be an interesting time at Frontier. Bill Franke has a proven track record of success along with being a tough hard nosed business man who will ask for concessions from the employees whenever possible.

The transition of Frontier to a ULCC has basically already been completed and implemented. We already charge for carry on bags if you don't book on the companies website. The company is running excellent load factors, best in the whole industry if I remember correctly.

Frontier needs some growth, and I think Franke can deliver. We have some of the first A320NEO orders, and I believe F9 is the launch customer for the A319NEO

I've got an interview with F9 coming up in a couple of weeks. Could anyone who has RECENTLY interviewed chime in on the technical questions they were asked?

Any more chatter about the possibility of an eastern base? With soon to be 11 destinations out of Trenton it would seem that could be a logical next step maybe?

I think the company is doing an analysis of the implication of FAR 117 and rethinking apple charters. The only reason CHI domicile exists is apple charters (we have a duty day limitation in our CBA that kicks in based upon time in domicile so a lot of the apple stuff that departs early from central and eastern time zones doesn't work with pilots that are based in mountain time zone).

I think there will be a northeast base (PHL-TTN-ILG) in 2014 and that base will be much bigger than the current CHI base (approximately 60 pilots). The northeast base will go VERY junior. In other words the current round of new hires may hold denver since we are short in denver but once we have a staffing adjustment for an east coast base most additional new hires will end up on the east coast.

Thanks for the info! It is much appreciated. I interview in a couple of weeks and being an east coastie myself that prospect makes Frontier even more lucrative to me than it already was!

Is FFT still operating out of TTN? It's on the website, but I haven't seen any flights depicted on flightaware in weeks....

So is Frontier already been sold off from Republic, and if so, have the Frontier pilots pulled out clean from the Republic integrated seniority list? How does that work?

Frontier service temporarily suspended at TTN because they're installing an EMAS for the only runway F9 can use. Frontier flights resume there November 8.
