Apparently, the process has changed. Candidates are no longer being told yes or no on the day of their interview, but will have to wait for a call, email, or snail mail notification, not sure which. Next class is not set in stone, but probably in May. PRIA paperwork is no longer taken after completion of the interview, so that will probably lengthen the process too.

Junior FO is a 12/2016 hire. No idea how long the list of FOs who want to get there might be, however.

It's weird that they don't take your PRIA paperwork. Maybe someone could shed light on how it is handled at other airlines... do you just mail it to them after you get the offer? Also, if they didn't extend offers to the guys interviewed today, I wonder what that means for a May class.

What an idiot. He'd rather commute to a dying regional than be home based and fly the Bus, because of a silly HR email? I would rather not have his type here. I am not saying it's great here, but what kind of idiot says something like that?

If you have any other sources that define "Major" airline and include Frontier but exclude regional carriers and the like please share them now....

I obviously got further than you did...

Not a Legacy. Agreed.

If you want to call Frontier a "Major", then by your own argument(s) you have to call SkyWest a "Major" too. So by following your logic pathways, maybe FAPA should just throw in the towel, copy/paste the SkyWest Student Council's pilot "agreement" and close up shop immediately.

We can keep arguing about this and you can keep being angry about not being employed at a desireable airline to work, or we can unite and actually try to move forward and elevate everyone here.
Great post. Strange that no one else agreed.

How is this a great post?

He writes:

"...you can keep being angry about not being employed at a desirable airline..."

And then speaks about elevating everyone in the same sentence!

How do you elevate by insulting?

Coming on here with this: "you're not a Major airline" B.S. is meant to sting, and it's meant to be insulting. We all freaking know we're a ULCC! OK!? We all know we're not Delta!

It's like someone pointing out to you that you're not that pretty. No $#!T I look in the mirror every day, I think I know that!

The part about the DOT saying your a major being crap. Your company, and MY company have a LONG way to go before we can call ourselves majors in the sense that most of us think about majors. Legacy is a different term altogether and simply means "before deregulation". Like Alaska. Most people wouldn't put Alaska in the same category as DL, UAL or AA especially with their current contract. Yet they are a legacy.

Defending either of our companies before our management gives us the contracts we deserve is illogical.

We aren't competitive"majors" until then. I think that's what he meant, and I read into it.

We are the fat girls at the dance right now. Wishing it wasn't true doesn't change that, unless you consider Skywest a desirable major.
