Gojet owns the 900s.

Delta is making a big push to bring its RJs back home. Lots of ASA birds are moving to Endeavor and Gojet appears to be getting theirs ready to head home too.

I don't really see why Delta wants to do that considering what they did with Comair. I'm told that they are willing to throw money at their regional pilots to make them reliable.

All the delays with Republic canceling flights and Gojet canceling flights left a very bad taste in their mouth. The problems with Horizon canceling flights for lack of pilots makes Delta think they have a big opportunity if they can get rid of reliability problems. They want Endeavor to be the place to go for pilots. Whoever has the pilots will be the one controlling regional flying. It pays to have pilots ready and available. For an extra 23000 per pilot they are king, at least that is what they think.

Could it be that the guys running Delta forgot the lessons of the past?

Different story now. Every DL hub except SLC and JFK have multiple regionals with crew bases operating from it. If one were to have issues (such as S5 and G7 did) others can somewhat easily step in. Far different from having OH dominate CVG for example.

9E will never be sole controller of RJs at DCI or even at any hub. Slice and dice, distribute and have multiple carriers (even if fewer than right now) as an insurance policy.

Delta flying isn't going anywhere... we're growing our DTW base and filling in for endeavor as they move more ops to Laguardia

I think GoJet is actually a well-staffed regional in a world where most regionals are scrambling to attract and retain pilots. I don't think they'll be losing any flying for the simple fact that they do in fact have the butts to fill the seats. Just my .02

Keep in mind today's Delta management is largely yesterdays Northwest management. Northwest had more of an AA style relationship with their regionals.

Blatantly obvious with what they're doing with Express Jet. Good advice is, don't think you have Delta's next move figured out in their regional chess game. And nobody at a regional should ever feel that they are safe from mainline's regional shuffle. There has been a lot of changes in regards to regional lift in the last couple of years, and they're not done yet. If your goal is at a mainline somewhere, set your time, build your resume, and do whatever's necessary to expedite getting your dream job.

900s where purchased by TSH directly from South America. They are not owned by Delta.
