Why fly here?

I wish they paid captains a bonus for every time one has to say My Aircraft...

I guess it kind of depends. But I've only been on the line 3 months and got awarded Denver and am holding a line next month as and FO and probably could've got it quicker if I bid right.it all depends on timing though. All in all should only take a couple months. I think it runs a little more senior for captains though.

GoJet or TSA?
So, I've been out of flying for the past 4 years, now looking to get hired with a regional. ATP, 2500 TT, 1500 turbine pic, but mostly all of it was 135 cargo and EMS. I'm from Missouri, have family near St. Louis, and would enjoy living in domicile there. I have interviews with both GoJet and Trans States. Any input on which would be the better choice?

I left aviation in 2007 amid all the troubles then. Ten years later a friend got me back interested and I spoke and interviewed with many airlines. GoJet was he best at resolving my concerns about having been out so long and making sure I was ready for training. I was fortunate to have a GREAT new-hire class and we all supported each other well. By month 6 I was holding a line and picking up over $1k/mo in OT.
Do not get too excited about which airline is showing fastest time to upgrade, base of choice, or hold a line. Honestly the difference seems pretty small. So, do not let the hearsay-naysaying get to you. GoJet has treated me well. Certainly a culture of "Get in, get your hours, and move on." Personally, I would love better HQ support on some issues, then I realize focusing too much on a perfectly smooth office would make us more like SkyWest and all but one pilot I have spoken to from SkyWest have the same story of waiting a long time to get their base of choice and/or hold and line and/or get enough flying (the one pilot was a CRJ CA who said he flies all the time). Sounds like they give up the bonuses, and quick progression in favor of not dealing with as many bumps and bruises other regionals face.
What I can tell you about GoJet is I have never had trouble reaching our chief pilot or base manager with any concerns I have had. I still have one pending concern I need to follow up on and it frustrates the life out of me that it is my job to follow up on someone else's mistake... Otherwise, everything has been resolved pretty much right away. If you come to GoJet, be patient through your frustrations and build a strong network of pilots you can trust to share with and to help you find the answers. Talking to more senior pilots here, we have come a long way in a short time. That statement alone does not hold water if we only moved from deplorable to horrible, but we are doing well and have a great trajectory of getting better.
Another telling sign of GoJet doing well is our union recently negotiated a contract amendment that will result in more scheduling efficiency and more days off.
For me, once I got past all the fear of what I might miss out on if I do not choose the right airline I ended up passing up what would have been a really exciting opportunity for me in favor of where I felt happiest.
