As I've described before, DEC at Gojet have a very low chance of success. Both for the airline and for the applicant. Nobody is showing up to class, the airline is doomed.
Also, the UA TA tried and failed to get scope relief for the weight restriction. Until and unless United manages to fool their group into giving up scope relief again, the CRJ-550 is a doomed product with the new passenger weights.
United doesn't need the lift, it's a pet project at this point. The lift Gojet currently kicks in a month is what... Ten airports served from two hubs? They're not a player anymore in United's regional network. This past year they were given the task of fudging the slot numbers in EWR, because street captains can sit on the taxiways and wait for gates for less than narrowbody rates.

What about those of us who were hired by Gojet years ago? Current Captains train the new DECs and then watch them move to United? What kind of moral is Gojet going to have?

I'd take it as a clear signal that it is time to leave but everyone must make their own choices.
