Ever heard of Freedom? Why do you think Mesa has that $hitty contract. As a matter of fact, Hulas used the Mesa/Freedom fiasco as a lesson on how to properly start an alter-ego airline and get away with it.

BTW, when you compared GJ to SKW (RAH, XJT, etc), it made me sick. We make $7 more per hour than you do on second year pay (CR7) we top out more than $15 per hour over your max. We also get more per diem, better retirement, duty rigs, daily guarantees, premium pay for working over 12 hours, voluntary JR Manning, great stock purchase program, a solid Mgmnt team and much much more. Oh, plus respect. Yes we work for a regional but it's not your shotty operation.

Good Day and I hope that one day you wake up. Unfortunately by then your kind will have done more damage than good.

The only thing you've got going is the better management because without that no union is going to save you. Oh wait you don't have a union. They could have agreed to better pay for the CRJ7/9s don't you think? I mean are guys there flying 87 seaters for 66 seat pay?? See the problem is that places like SKY, management knows that they don't run a bottom feeder operation however most of other regional managements do consider themselves as bottom feeders. Also it's amazing how the top regional isn't UNION, that kind of says a lot about the state of things.

I thought flying wasn't all about the money! And if you think you will strike it rich the first year in the regionals, then you're in the wrong profession. It sad people complain about money. As a regional pilot of course you going to get crap on the first year. If every company starts to furlough and Gojet doesn't. Then Gojet will start looking very attractive.

I think that everyone here has stated that they don't mind paying their dues. It is not all about money. Its about work rules and bennies too.

I LOVE MY JOB. Really, I love my job (even at TSA). I love being away, I love being home, I love complaining about scheduling. However, do not for one second try to tell me that money is not important. This is not a hobby for me, its my career. A career that I love and respect and THAT is why I want wages to increase, not decrease.

You say its sad when people complain about money, and I agree....we shouldn't have to.

Wow really nice attitudes here. We have hit the airline equivalent of “My Dad can beat up you Dad” crap. People here talk about raising the bar, you can’t raise the bar and demonize people at the same time. I’m wondering what some of you do with friends that don’t vote the same way you do? Do you end your friendship?

Seems like you can do one of two things here. You can alienate, and demonize a segment of the pilot population, and it’s effectiveness will be minimal. Or you can vote for pro labor candidates, who might actually change the rules. That might actually make things better for everyone.

"Oh, plus respect."

That is for sure, although these sellouts really don't care much about that.

"I thought flying wasn't all about the money"

Please do not become one of those people who will do anything to fly an airplane. If you do you will probably end up at a crappy place like GoJet. Please learn what your skills and time are worth before starting at an airline because we are worth more than 20K, even if it is your first year. It is sad our pay is low enough to qualify for HUD housing.

"Yea, no kidding. I'm sure it's something like; no, no, no, maybe, no, no."

Not with GoJet....you guys would fly for free if it meant you get to fly an airplane.
