If you have questions about a Pax inboard your airplane ask your gate agent, that will save you time and the embarrassment.
Are there any JS in the back? No! Ok, thanks! After landing, greet the man and you might make a new friend, remember that it's all about networking! |

Thanks 8hr, Is the skd pretty commutable? 117 is making it rough. Airline profile for GoJet says that most junior captain (non-direct entry) hired is Dec 2012 (STL). True. Are they hiring entry level capts, especially now with the ATP requirement kicking in? Nope. and regarding my scab questions, any opinion on that? thanks. Has TSA ever been on strike? No more are we scabs than any other regional that is flying today. |

Perfect solution. How easy and civil was that. Pilots helping pilots. What an idea.
If I see a pilot in uniform who didn't check in I would assume they are deadheading or non-rev, neither of which need to check in with the crew. It seems rather telling that this capt. just assumed he was jumpseating. I love all the replies from the Gojets brain trust. Just, wow. The last part of the guy's post about professionalism is spot on. Try to open your minds a bit and think about what he wrote. |
GoJet updates
His comment was constructive and not talking down to us "little" people. I was not talking about the 135 guy.

Hey GoJet pilots here is a little free information for you! Just because a pilot is in full uniform sitting on your aircraft doesn't mean he is an offline jump seater who didn't check in. Some of us fly for companies,135 operator, who actually pay for our tickets to and from work. So next time you have an FA go grab me from the back and you start lecturing me about how CASS works ask me who I am first. I loved seeing your face after you found out I was a paying passenger and I was going to contact your chief pilot directly. The upgrade to first class was nice, but its still going to be more fun letting your company know why we pushed late.Just remember your place in this world gojet guys and gals, I understand it can be frustrating not paying your bills, eating every other day, and asking mom and dad for help so JR can have a birthday this year, but until you can learn to be professionals, demanded to be treated like professionals, and act like one this sort of crap will continue.
Remember this business is all about networking and you never know who you may meet and how that person may become a contact to help you in the future. I can promise you that in this situation you'll certainly be remembered...as the douche bag 135 guy that was so offended he threatened calling the CP to report some guys for doing that which is in their scope and authority. Does not sound to me like they crossed any lines or made a scene...they did the right thing, you did not!! You obviously feel empowered by jumping on the GoJet haters train, but that train has unfortunately already left the station and no one really cares about it any longer. GoJet may have a few sour apples, but for the most part they are a good group. You may try to make them out as scum of the regional world, but all you're really trying to do is make yourself feel better about your own, obviously crappy world and life. Go ahead and keep hating but GoJet'ers are now and will soon be filling more cockpit seats at UAL, AAL, and DAL...and thankfully you'll still be 135 with your bad attitude!!! Or you can let those courses in professionalism pay off, do the right thing, think for yourself, not be a band-wagoner, and find some happiness instead of wasting a crew's time at the gate or a chief pilot's time with your nonsense. |

sorry And really 8hour? Was I attacking you personally? Aren't you from Comair? I feel bad for you guys at Comair. Great folks! Why are you smarting me off???? What this captain did was wrong and embarrassing. If there is a backlash, then I say good. Maybe people will THINK and ask questions before shooting next time. So yeah, keep laughing about how a captain acted like a complete clown, as if what I said was directed at you anyways. |
