Just out of curiosity, if you've already worked at a 121 airline, how do you not know how upgrade works?

I know it's kind of a far fetched question. I was curious if because pilots are required to have a 1,000 hours as co-pilot in air carrier operations prior to serving as captain now and the fact that GoJet doesn't have many FO's if this would mean that seniority would be skipped in effort to find a qualified applicants.
