Anyone who does cargo should be in good shape for a while, especially Purple/Brown.
Totally, everything is cyclic and plenty of Majors and Box Carriers make their way to the top and leapfrogged over and over again. Hopefully what you have chosen works very well for your situation. Several top tier companies were once bottom feeders at some point or have merged since then. Some things are glaringly in your face but a lot of it is from your perspective. Grass is greener doesn’t always reign true. Number 1 today is last tomorrow or middle rung at best. At least everyone is slugging it out for the better!

Look at Jetblue. They signed a lagging contract that didn't catch up to the legacies for 2 years after the legacies' contracts became amendable. The theory was the legacies would have new contracts by now making Jetblue's obsolete. Jetblue was also lagging profit sharing. Here we are with legacy's still operating under same contract and profit sharing paying $0. Jetblue all of the sudden became a lot more attractive.

Pretty strange when people will avoid a free beer just to not have to speak with those in a certain work group.

No I'm not going to bang a bunch of FAs or go into someone's room alone with them. I'm not stupid. One can talk with people and enjoy one adult beverage without getting in trouble. It's embarrassing what some of the captains I fly with think sometimes.
Maybe his wife stalks him.

LOL, I knew a guy who totally had that going on. Out with the boys and the wife would literally do a drive-by to check up.

Of course the distinction was well earned, in spades.
