Quote: Substance dependent. Never lied on here, at least not on purpose. If you don’t recognize the gravity of compound American exposure to risk vis-a-vis Ukraine, PRC aggression, jihadi indoctrination, expanding domestic fault lines or lack of discipline to remain within one’s limits, we got nothing more to say to each other. Work on it.
None of what you mentioned is what we are discussing.

i will ask again since neither of you knuckleheads seem to be able to stay on target.

how will china execute an invasion from cuba successfully in the face of our territorial defense doctrine?

And to counter a potential point in advance, how will china be able to stop a mass flush of our silos in the face of any launch detection?

you 2 are literally out to lunch on modern geopolitical implications of nuclear weapons. All sovereign territory is unassailable to people who have nukes. Unless they are willing to commit suicide. Step away from your magic propaganda box, you may drink less and live longer.

Quote: lol your “facts” were china has a large gdp, china has alot of people, icbms are hard to detect. Im not sure if you are joking or have zero concept of actual tactics but none if those answer the questions i asked.

please answer
1. how will china get aircraft to cuba undetected
2. How will china get ships to cuba undetected
3. what is to stop a mass flush of all our missles at first launch detection?
4. How will china storm our Florida beaches in the face of tactical nuclear weapons?

you are insane and caught up in some action movie where the right wing media feeds you fear porn.

Please answer the above questions or just admit your premise is idiotic. Mine is based in the theory that china doesn’t want to destroy the world in a nuclear holocaust. If that doesn’t deter them, then we are doomed.

its fun watching you wiggle, please, by all means keep it up

bet you a moscow mule you wont answer the questions vlad

By all means please start your own boomer fear thread……please
The poseur comes up with strawman arguments demanding I defend assertions I never made, tossing in a “Vlad” now and then for good measure. That only undermines what little faith anyone ever had in his own supposed expertise.

And here we have another right wing fearmonger expressing his concerns on the issue:

how is china in cuba a defense threat?
how will china be able to prosecute any war from cuba?

Russia is actively engaged in combat ops for wheat and a deep water port. Russia is actively trying to destabilize the EU which is our greatest ally against china.

i knew you couldnt and wouldn’t answer. Keep wiggling vlad

So you are saying the Sec State is an alarmist?

SECSTATE has to sound alarmed or it will fuel the fire that his boss is weak on China with an election around the corner (assuming his boss remembers there's an election, and that he's running in it).

I'm not alarmed about Cuba. PRC is not invading the US. It's a publicity stunt, most likely for internal consumption (makes the regime look badass). It's not going to send any messages to the US because it's irrelevant.

It's not like WE don't have plenty of intel capability in WESTPAC

In a conflict it's just one more toy that we can take away from them to put points up on the board... maybe clean out the Castros in the process.

The only thing we care about WRT to Cuba is that they don't have nuclear weapons. PRC won't go there, we've already done that fire drill once.

Nor would the Japanese bomb Pearl Harbor. Until they did.

Nobody I know is really considering that this exercise area or a military alliance is a jump-off point for the invasion of the US, but a spy base and a place where you can put in subs and ships. Even their 055DLs have a fairly capable (conventional) VLS and you are going to have to use resources to monitor them. And for the spy base, proximity really does increase its effectiveness.

But it is ALSO part of a massive influx of Chinese influence in the Americas through their Roads and Bridges Initiative. It’s a relatively “soft” expansion of power, but an expansion of power it is nonetheless.

yup, and all this is a greater immediate threat to national global interests than the destabilization of europe (our one near peer ally against china).

how is this, a greater threat than europe falling to russian blackmail?

how is this a greater threat than the loss of geopolitical power (which is really where china is a “threat”) if we allow democratic countries to be absorbed by the RU?

please be specific

oh and it’s hilarious that now you are saying that no one realistically thinks they will invade when 2 days ago you were saying they will launch icmbs and bring ships and their million man army. Any more waffling to do? I got my syrup ready

please answer any of these questions. Oh wait…..you never do

just in case you forgot here they are

1. how will china get aircraft to cuba undetected
2. How will china get ships to cuba undetected
3. what is to stop a mass flush of all our missles at first launch detection?
4. How will china storm our Florida beaches in the face of tactical nuclear weapons?

I didn’t FORGET your strawman arguments. I’m IGNORING them. And you are still a poseur.

As for “destabilizing Europe”. Do you know anything about European history? The place has NEVER been stable.
