I hope you get caught and punished too. I know you have done something wrong.

No coin out of my pocket, just 45 mins out of my day!
Anyone want a 1988 RX7?

You're a brave man, err person to go to that place! Is it true that you can request an "Enhanced Digital Scan", or "Vigorous Pat-down" in Lieu of the speeding ticket? I've been told local attorneys can get the same result for you for about $50.

Yep, It'll still do over 100mph, but the motor is tired! AC is weak!
Lots of innocent people milling about the courthouse at 9am!
The crowd today wasn't as bad as I've seen in the past. No pat down, but my belt buckle did get an extra wave of the wand. Why pay a lawyer $50 when I can do it free, I am a cheap airline pilot, after all!

If the collection of revenue through speeding tickets bothers you so much;
Don't speed = no ticket = no revenue collection
Pretty simple stuff.
No.
You're the guy that always thinks he drives better than anyone else, so you can break the law as you see fit, aren't you?

A sober speeder ended the life of a family member. Yes, he was punished......although not as much as we were. No, not mostly about revenue collection.

It is telling when we seek to punish a wide range of individuals rather than hold the single individual responsible for his actions. Speeding is often the rule on certain stretches of highway due to poor traffic flow control.
Under some conditions the speed limit is too high, such as poor weather, it is just as obviously too low under other conditions such as excellent roads and good weather. This is called judgement and individual responsibility. A somewhat alien concept to many.

A quick study of the actual highway statistics and insurance data statistics crushes your emotional argument. Burn them all for your pain seems a popular emotion today. When emotions get the best of us we all suffer.

The people that need to be punished are the ones that break the law.....especially one that affects the safety of others, simple as that. My emotions aren't a part of my argument.
Judgment and individual responsibility? Really? I believe in judgment and individual responsibility at or below the speed limit. Breaking the law because of one's misplaced arrogance is called bad judgment and being irresponsible.
I hate to be the bearer of your bad news, but Libertarianism doesn't work for rules of the road.....unless you're like that idiot Stossel that advocates the banning of traffic lights.
