I agree, however I know on jetblue they actually tell people to get out of the premium price seats. I think UAL as well in E+, you want it, you pay for it.

And when you're denied your contractual seat due to agent indifference? What then? Suck it up or stick up for your contractual rights?

If you were assigned the seat, it's yours. A CSA or FA would make the tool move. However, if it was a short flight it might not be worth it.

"I believe you're in my seat" has always worked well for me.

and when they refuse to move? im not pushing this issue all im asking is how you would handle it in a professional manner. i remember a guy putting his bag into the seat next to him and refusing to move it because it was in another womans seat. long story short the cop told him, the bag can stay......but your leaving.
