I'm going to nominate myself for TOTD for this post.

*** is up with airline guys being such wussies? I ran into my fair share of pilots at my former airline that would get their panties in a bunch with a crosswind or a little snow on the runway. For F's sake, where has piloting skills gone? The limitations set in the FOM/CFM are straight forward and fairly conservative. I've seen guys stress out and worry themselves gray over stuff that should be just another day at the office.
And this d-bag blogger blaming his crappy landings on a winglet and stiff wind? BS! Suck it up buttercup and work on your stick and rudder skills. Even the stiff winged, stubby geared CRJ can be landed nicely with a stiff x-wind.

Git r dun. Unless there is something significant to worry about, quit whining like a girl scout with a skinned knee and fly the friggin plane. I know one size doesn't fit all for every leg, but amount of fretting over what should be fairly easy stuff is ridiculous.

You.

For dragging the east-west soap opera into yet another thread.

Agreed. And while we are at it: The entire America West seniority list, for never contributing anything to the industry, ever. To go even further: for dragging down the industry since their inception, and walking into a 2 merger windfall without any humility, gratitude, or cooperation.

Your inalienable right to be a tool does not usurp mine.

Most contracts end probation after upgrade as its a massive safety issue. How does it work at Airways?

Their right to be a tool keeps you from being a tool?

Is there a hierarchy within the tools?

"Mine" was the possessive of the "right"--not the tool. as in his right to be a tool does not usurp my right to be a tool. Hierarchy has nothing to do with it. Hence the use of the word usurp. Im all for just letting it settle out in the courts and dropping it, but the west siders seem to want to drag it into every thread in the world. Whatever.
