The Captain that got off the flight Friday night, asked the pregnant not so good looking ramp agent where the most happening bar was, and when she replied "I don't know" he questioned why and stated that he knew where all the parties were going on in "Seattle, New York, and Philadelphia."

Yeffro,

Another good rason to stay in hiding: you'd endanger pilots in every small shop around. There is no small shop that's so small it can't have a fully qualified Tool on staff. I don't know why/how, but it's like a law of physics: no matter where you work, someone must be there just to make your life suck.

Realizing that several of the last posts on APC, for much of the day, are by ME

How 'bout the guy who asks you verify every radio call when its his leg? Every. Call. Every. Leg. Every. Day.

One is alright. Twice is OK. Three times and you are just ****ing everyone off! Listen up or ask yourself.

The tool of an F/0 who insisted on exchanging his USD at the airport in ZRH because he didn't want to use an ATM by the hotel (I've used it numerous times with no problem). We had to wait 15 minutes for him. Next month we're going into ARN with same F/O and he tells me he's going to the money exchange and for us to wait for him. I tell him no that if he wants to do that he can take a cab. He sulks all the way home because he didn't get the perfect exchange rate. Maybe we should start a cheapest pilot thread, I've got a good one from my last trip on the 737.

Something about 7ER FO's.

I mean I was one once, but not anymore. I was kicked out of the big house and now wallow in the mud out behind the barn having insults heaped upon me by Bar sitting on the pourch.

But I found some self-righteous special people camping out over there on the ER. I really felt bad for the Captains.

I remember one, I accidentally touched his bag on a people mover in JFK. I needed to steady myself on this overcrowded thing and there was nothing else to grab. Oh he lit into me in front of the passengers saying "DO NOT TOUCH MY STUFF!" The Captain was surprised, but probably not as surprised as when this FO landed long and tried to make up for it by suddenly taking the high speed at 90 in a 76. The Captain took it back.

But I thought to myself, after 3 days of listening to you talk about all of your self inflicted financial woes (who starts flipping houses in 2008, really?) and divorce with multiple kids, all I can do is smile and think of that saying: "some cause happiness wherever they go; others, whenever..."

Where do I start? How about my FO a few weeks ago who picked up the ATIS while on decent into our destination. It gave a altimeter setting of 30.02. SLC Center gave us a decent to 15000 with a desination altimeter setting of 30.01. He proceeded to ask SLC Center which altimeter setting we should use. Center was laughing so hard he was having trouble answering us. I told the FO to please refrain from asking ATC ANY questions without consulting me first.
