From: DOWNGRADE COMPLETE: Thanks Gary. Thanks SWAPA.
Newsflash,
The ACPs and other flight ops minions, spend their desk time on social media and most of the forums, pilot and otherwise watching and noting what is posted by who about what. Post on FB your trip to Nepal that you went platinum to take, expect to hear about it, if it happens enough. Your below the radar persona was blown long ago.
The company is very image aware and has the ability to bury unfavorable info deep, and quickly. Talk enough trash about the Co, and you will start receiving line checks and special appointments with your ACP or even CP.
Anyone who remembers the "do it yourself cartoon" parodies that popped up on youtube commenting on TAFYD, will also remember just how fast they disappeared.
You and every other dissenter remain in place, only because you haven't popped up high enough, to whacked down, and back into place.
Ask M.G. what happens if you go against the grain, or G.R. if you make the wrong comment on the wrong forum.
It isn't about if you can pass a line check, its your semi-official notice that you are on the radar.

Sorry if these guys have already been nominated. Even if they have, it's probably worth a repeat: whoever thought it was a good idea to recycle the Eastern name and image. Supreme Tools!

If you waited to call speed, until 290 you might be part of the problem. The beauty of the interwebz is nothing ever truly gets erased. Your admission of a FAR violation is now etched in electrons for all posterity, for anyone with a computer to view. 👜

Great a girl pilot likes hats. 5'3" and 245, if that's your cup-o-tea. Next thing she says will be like "I love Capri style pilot pants on pilot uniforms" and the airports will be full of guys wearing high water floods. With cowboy boots......

Geez, talking about making a mountain out of a molehill. Intl w/b crew descending into JFK over NJ -
ATC - "gentlemen, look at the front window. That is the sovereign state of New Jersey. The speed limit below 10,000' is 250 kts."
The guys look at each other for a second "huh???" and look at their speed. 320 KIAS, and moving nicely. "Oops, any problem?"
ATC - "nah. Welcome back."
