It's funny how wound around the axle some pilots get over the wind check thing. I always figured that raised their tool flag pretty high if something that simple makes them upset.

No kidding! I get it and I ask for it every once in awhile since most towers don't give the winds to you any more when they clear you to land. Used to be a standard call on the part of the tower, those days are over. Why wouldn't someone wanna know what the winds are? And why do guys get bent about it? I bet the same guys are the guard Nazi guys.......tools, all of them.
