Someone said the first new hire class for 330F might be all 330F so I would imagine they would take those who want the 330F into that class. All hearsay, but I would at least apply, interview, and let them know and defer until you had a chance at it if that is what you truly want and can wait a little. If you don't want to wait the 330P to F transition would be great at 1 year if that works out and you can handle commuting. Sorry, wish it was a bit more concrete than that, it will be clear soon so getting your name in that hat would be good if you want it.
There is no restriction or seat lock preventing you from going pax 330 to freight 330. There is however a 1 year lock on 330 freight before you can go 330 pax.

When do you think the next vacancy bid will be?

Well would've been next week, but sounds like the MEC is going to give the company a pass. With the new contract, they have to run one vacancy within 12 months of the last one. So they got the whole year...

Rumor is the day after the contract goes live, so maybe March 3rd.

The company has published a vacancy on the required date how many times in the last 10 years? Once? Maybe twice? The MEC giving relief on the date is nothing new, especially since the company just published a large bid last month.

Whether it was on time or delayed, you could always count on it being twice a year. Now with the freighter operation, it might make it harder to plan if someone wants to move to/from Hawaii. Normally we would have a general idea of when it would be.

7 out of the last 10 years we have had more than the “required 2” vacancy bids, and that included displacement bids cause Covid. With freighters and 787s coming I would be surprised to see 1 bid a year in the future, but stranger things have happened.

Let's hope they stay ahead of the curve

Somewhere, someone said, on reserve you can bid all your days off in a row. Would you not need 1 in 7 off during your days on, thereby reducing the amount of days off available to use in one block?
For example if you are guaranteed 12 days off you would need to use 2 of those during your days on leaving you 10 to use in one block?
Thanks!
