On the 717, 12-13 days off as a line holder

You should attend a convention that HAL will be at. NGPA was recent.

HAL is currently hiring candidates with no ties to HAL or Hawai’i at all due to the expansion and the fact everyone else is hiring like crazy. I would put in as soon as you hit the minimum qualifications and just keep updating your information. Good luck

Anyone know when the current hiring window will close? Got the TBNT email, just wondering if I could plan on applying again later in the year if the window closes and reopens?

There is no window anymore. It's always open now.

Hearing new hires interviewing now that are interested in CVG domicile and cargo flying are not being placed into class until fall. Any truth to this?

probably because the first round of pilots that bid 330F are going to be trained by this summer, so then that would make sense for new hires to start in the fall.

Sounds about right, no set date yet. Good news is that if you get a CJO it is good for a year, so it may be possible to let them know you want to defer until the 330F is an option to new hires. Aircraft lock may be less to switch from 330P to F or vice versa (1 year?) so another potential option to try to get 330P and a year later do the change, although if you are trying to domicile mainland you'd have to commute so direct to the freight class. Someone said the first new hire class for 330F might be all 330F so I would imagine they would take those who want the 330F into that class. All hearsay, but I would at least apply, interview, and let them know and defer until you had a chance at it if that is what you truly want and can wait a little. If you don't want to wait the 330P to F transition would be great at 1 year if that works out and you can handle commuting. Sorry, wish it was a bit more concrete than that, it will be clear soon so getting your name in that hat would be good if you want it.
