I still have $100 this won't happen. I'll bite, lets say it does... How is ALPA going to handle this? We either run the operation under ONE CONTRACT with no 1980s "B-SCALE" carve-out, or throw the cargo pilots under the Airbus. Part 117 for all of the HAL pilots, or only the pilots that fly tourists? If it has the same pay and pilots, it should have the same work rules. Think, someone could take point on this and secure part 117 for ALL US cargo operations. Oh well. Back to the movie.

50/50. Either way 787s coming. Growth ahead.

The Qatar 330s that ATSG bought for Amazon that go along within the rumor, they belong to other operators.

Flight Ops has publicly said it wants 1400ish pilots. That said, those of us who’ve done the Amazon thing know it’s not as exciting as other forms of growth. Unless Hawaiian just goes full cargo division. Somethings up.

The next vacancy will be telling. If it’s really heavy 330 again then I’d obviously expect something like that. Also wonder what the FA hiring looks like. If they’re not hiring FA’s at the same rate maybe cargo is more than a rumor. Who knows.

Record number of FAs being hired with nearly zero annual attrition. Don’t know the proportion to pilots, but it Adds to the mystique of what’s going on.

heavy hiring for FAs is definitely to staff the 78. Plus all the reserves they’ll need for the long haul routes. Time will tell, next week.

Maybe new availability? Any suggestions for places to rent 10/01 - training. Live in HI just not Oahu. Any friends with rentals or rooms for rent? Everyone on CL seems to not reply or be a scam?
