Nice! Well if you cant get ORD try for LGA, we have a few DTW overnights and some of them are looong ones.

That's funny!

So if I got a rejection email and they say I can reapply in six months, is that six months from interview date (January) or six months from rejection email (March)?

Curious on what experience and if the guys who interviewed this week were former poolies or had internal recs etc? I had a friend walk my resume in to the chief pilot in chicago about a week and a half ago now and haven't heard a peep, I'm 1550TT with 630 Multi no 121 experience though. Anyone have a relative idea how long it takes for an internal rec to get to HR's desk? Thanks all

Bucky,

Not ord based but maybe the chief is swamped? Cut the middle man out, have your friend send it directly to hr along with his employee number and that letter of recommendation he wrote for you. Also, include another letter of recommendation from your last employer. Don't forget to send a thank you letter as well.

FYI not everyone with an internal recommendation receives an invitation for an interview, if they do it takes a bit longer than a week or two.

That's why, you had your buddie gave it to Frank. Our HR is in Dallas. Frank doesn't get down to DFW much and you have to get your info in on Airline Apps (I think).

Can your friend get the info to our recruiters?

I had a friend go way out of his way to get an internal rec to HR. He sent it to them and also spoke w Claudette. A couple weeks later I received an interview invitation. I get to the HR portion and they had no LOR in my file. They had no idea. Your friends best course of action is to email the LOR to RK directly. Hope you get a call.

Not sure, but I recommend using the interview date since that is likely the date they use. Even if it isn't, I'm sure they'll figure it out. It's better for them to have your application and, if they choose to do so, cut you some slack by rescheduling you in June or later rather than not having it until August.

While you may not know the exact reasons for the rejection, you might have a gut feeling on it. If those items are correctable (e.g., total or MEL flight time, Jepps knowledge, interviewing technique) be sure to do so.

I walked one in many years ago and the applicant was called within 15 minutes.
