Hello to all perspective candidates...I would like to share something with you. I had a PC today with one of our instructors who also conducts interviews and sits on the Captain review board. He told me that a full 50% (yes half) of all pilots being interviewed right now are being sent home for lying on their application. This includes everything from DUI's, felony convictions, speeding tickets to failed checkrides and everything in between. Be completely honest on your application. If you lie and they catch you (most likely they will) you will be handed your walking papers. It doesn't matter if it's the first day or a year down the road. Good luck!

Be careful..something similar happened to me (and NO, I didnt lie). I applied in Jan. A few months later I updated my app because of a "ding" on my record, not a failed checkride though. I was very forthcoming about it. A few months after I updated they called me for an interview so I figured it wasn't an issue.
Within minutes of arriving I was headed home. Turns out they ONLY had the first app and not the update. Even though I showed them the copy of the update which was clearly 3 months prior to being called, they were still pretty adamant that I had intentionally lied to them. Either way it was embarrassing and a waste of time and money.
Weird though..everyone else received my updated app and it was never a problem..just a question or two about it at other interviews.

How much would Eagle being sold affect the current hiring binge?
Delta sells 2 regional carriers for $82.5M - Yahoo! Finance

I'll be there too. I start on Monday and was told to expect the same thing.
