Just wondering if I would pass the interview but fail the medical (on the hearing, not the drug test) would they consider me until I got the hearing part fixed or would I just get the boot? The reason I ask is that I hold a first class medical based on the "normal conversation" testing all the Medical Doctors do. I've done the beep test before and come very close to the class one cutoffs. I really don't want to go through the hassle of hearing aids for a shot at interviewing and getting a gig, but would if I was offered the job. Any insight, or should I just say screw it and move on?

Just received an interview for July 27th. So I understand that I need to have my paperwork perfect, don't lie about busted checkrides (which I don't have any so that won't be a problem) and get all of the phone and fax numbers of my former employers. Is there anything else that I'm forgetting? I don't have any Baron time, but I'm very familiar with frascas and how touchy they can be. I'm looking forward to the interview!!! Seeya in Dallas.

your right on, just make sure your paperwork, logbook and airlineapps application match up. The fax numbers, and typed work history were big ones too. Suggest getting some G1000 time if you don't have any. Good luck

The hearing "test" is actually a hearing assessment, not a test. I specifically asked the nurse about it and that was the answer she gave me.

My understanding is that it creates a baseline for your hearing at initial hire. I guess in case you decide to Sue for hearing loss later or something. It is not pass/fail.
