I almost picked San Juan just so I'd be able to transfer back to the CRJ in a year... that's how bad I want that airplane back.

But don't get me wrong - I'm very happy and excited about being here... and I'm very fortunate. I'll fly the crap out of the ERJ and I'll be there every time scheduling calls me. No problem!!
You may still get your chance when displcements begin in lga. You might be back in training before the year ends. 24 hr per diem is better than reserve pay anyways. Who is the ground instructor? M.S.?

It would hardly be appropriate for a new hire to take a spot in someone else’s base thus displacing them.
If they are displaced they can change jets, but the company's position is that the CRJ is not new equipment (disputed by ALPA) so they cannot voluntarily bid from the EMB to the CRJ. No newhire will be taking a slot that isn't vacant after all current pilots have a shot (within contractual guidelines of course).

I called yesterday & they told me they couldn't locate my file and that they would call me back......hmmmm. Sounds pretty strange.

Anyone know what interviewees from the pool have been given class dates already? I'm trying to gauge when I might get a call for class. Are there any interviewees from January that have passed the board, but still have yet to be assigned a class? Thanks.

No, I would not put that in there. I would only include places you worked after you were done with high school and/or college. They attempt to contact them and if they can't get a hold of them, well... good luck.

Naw, mine's on May 25th. Good luck to you though!

As a side note: My CFI buddy who has a bunch of hours got called for the interview but after a "paperwork discrepency" was told to go home before starting any part of the interview. On the airlineapps, he got complacent and put "NO" for previous checkride failures. On the paper application, he put "YES". They didn't like that and sent him home immediately. So double check everything!

Yeah that happened with two guys in my interview group. First thing they do is check your log books and your paperwork so make sure everything is in order.

Thanks. Yeah, the importance of triple checking all paperwork BEFORE getting out there has been made very clear. I have no failed checkrides so luckily do not have to worry about that.

Interesting. I had a February interview, passed the board, and was told to expect a late April class. I left a message a couple of weeks ago to see if they had any news and never got a call back.

Who did you get a hold of over there, The Fly?
