American Eagle to hire
#1641
I don't know, but while I'm so happy to have a job... I'm very disappointed I didn't get the CRJ (having 1500 hours in it). It would have made my life a heck of a lot easier, as well as captains that will fly with me in the future.
I almost picked San Juan just so I'd be able to transfer back to the CRJ in a year... that's how bad I want that airplane back.
But don't get me wrong - I'm very happy and excited about being here... and I'm very fortunate. I'll fly the crap out of the ERJ and I'll be there every time scheduling calls me. No problem!!

With the provision in the contract not allowing pilots to bid from one jet to another, will current pilots be allowed to bid from the erj to crj (it only seems fair) since their current aircraft will be reduced from their domicile. I would hope that ALPA and the pilot group would not allow individuals to be displaced from their bases simply due to a change in aircraft operating certain routes. It would hardly be appropriate for a new hire to take a spot in someone else’s base thus displacing them.

Anyone know what interviewees from the pool have been given class dates already? I'm trying to gauge when I might get a call for class. Are there any interviewees from January that have passed the board, but still have yet to be assigned a class? Thanks.

No, I would not put that in there. I would only include places you worked after you were done with high school and/or college. They attempt to contact them and if they can't get a hold of them, well... good luck.

Naw, mine's on May 25th. Good luck to you though!
As a side note: My CFI buddy who has a bunch of hours got called for the interview but after a "paperwork discrepency" was told to go home before starting any part of the interview. On the airlineapps, he got complacent and put "NO" for previous checkride failures. On the paper application, he put "YES". They didn't like that and sent him home immediately. So double check everything!
