American Eagle to hire
#1741
To some extent. I rather finish IOE pretty quick while everything is fresh on my mind, than to sit waiting to get done. They checkairman wont sign off till HE feels you are ready. Just ask the 300hr wonders AE hired few years ago. Some of them did close to 100hrs of IOE.

a few got sent back to fly with the IOE captain's a few months later because they were still doing so bad and scaring folks...

I don't think anyone is *blaming* IOE instructors. I think it's better to put safety before feelings. I started flying a turbine plane at 230 hrs but it was cargo. I sure wouldn't be offended if an IOE instructor told me to take 200 more hours before flying real passengers without aid.

When I was at Eagle. I had 2 2/3 day trips then the captain said he had to sign me off. I told him I wasn't ready but he said that he needed to sign me off because there was a waiting list for IOE. It was 25 hrs of IOE but that was the Saab days.

last week a new hire class started with 2 NFC's. The systems class started today with about 10 guys...that includes captains...
there was a rumor going around about 2 weeks ago regarding a big announcement and that CRJ FA class...now all is quiet...beats me...
