Just curious to those of you who have access to your employment website if there has been any update to the placement and training slots and dates. The most recent one I know of is still from quite a while ago, and also incredibly inaccurate from having spoken with a few of the more recent and upcoming classes. I am coming up on my class soon and would like any additional and updated info available. On a side note, I could care less what equipment I fly, however, if I have a class on July 5 and on July 19 the equipment I was selected for training on opens up in a different base, I would assume that I could then bid upon the now available base in the same equipment?

I don't know what your definition of alot is, but being assigned to fly more than 75 hours on reserve in a month is rare. Your best bet is picking up in open time to go along with your 75 hours of guarantee. That should get you close to 28k, but that will be difficult since you commute. It leaves you with one day to spend at home or maybe half a day with commuting in the equation.

You are locked into your equipment, or seat, for a year. You are not base locked. Quite a few new hires assigned to San Juan got awarded DFW before they finished training. They were lucky in that a vacancy bid came out during training for them. There is no rule on how often the company must come out with a vacancy bid.

How often are vacancy awards typically. It would seem to me on a seniority based system each new hire base vacancy should be offered to current employees before new hires?

How is seniority determined in a class? By birthday or do they do something else?
