In a crashpad you will probably end up sleeping with 6+ people in a single room. this company isn't a family. there's 2 family's in this company. those that have been here for 15+ years and those that haven't. the senior people always have a way to belittle you and make sure you have a bad day. that's just how it is and it's not going to change.
Quit then! I'm sure these other pilots would love to have your slot. Flying at 37000 ft is a lot better than doing steep turns all day long.

My question to you (after reading this post) is, "why are you still working here" ?????

Obviously you're miserable and NO job is worth what you're claiming is your existance. "Senior people" ALWAYS belittle others ?

That simply isn't true.

Perhaps it's time to take responsibility for your destiny and time to stop blaming others ?

It never fails here on APC. Like I said in many posts, it does not matter which airline or company is hiring there will always be people b!tching.
This is common.

You can expect a certain percentage of pilots (a strong but vocal minority) to be hopeless whiners who blame others for their own faliures and choices. For every one of these, there are 9 pilots who will say it isn't THAT bad. Most pilots KNOW what they're getting into first and then either deal with it or decide it isn't for them and do something else..........it's called self responsibility.

Others sit in the middle of the room crying as loud as possible in the hope someone will validate their pain.

The OVERWHELMING majority of "senior people" here aren't any problem. Of course like any carrier, there a re a few bad apples, but it's certainly no where close to the majority let alone "all" as one poster claims.

There are jobs out there waiting for you that you might just find pride in. You need to go search for them.
Agreed.......and in turn, there has got to be someone out there who would love to experience his supposed problems.

With all its "problems," I truly enjoy what I do-flying airplanes. If this is a "job" for you then it's probably time for you to evaluate your career choices. I'm of the opinion you made the wrong choice. Either you were naive about this profession or your seeking validation for your "plight".

Got it off my chest, now lets get back on topic.

that said, they used to offer this info to stimulate applicants to accept an offer of employment. my experience: "you'll be a sf3 Ca in 18 months, jet Ca by 3 yrs and at AA in 5 total."
this info was volunteered, not solicited. just curious if they are still using that tactic.

Maybe at the time when that was the case. Because at one time, some of that may have been true. However, during my interview, I was told 9 years so I knew what to expect.

I know it's NOT mentioned or required in the minimum or preferred qualifications for new hires, but I was wondering how important it is having one of those RJ Standardization Courses completed to get an interview? Any of the current interviewees taken this?

I just remember that prior to Eagle's last hiring boom they were taking people with 400/50 and even more reduced with the RJ Course. In fact they were paying people to take it if I remember correctly. Not that I am one of those low timers trying to sqeak by, but I'm just wondering what are my chances with or without it?

Just applied with ATP Cert. TT1765, ME765, current flying job 12+ months, Part 135 cargo current, No turbine (unfortunately), Bachelors, 1 recommendation.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
