Quick question. I am comparing my application with the required mins at xjt, and since I do not have the 100 PIC, is my application not even showing up in their system? I have had 6 or 7 interview invites from other regionals, but not from xjt, so I am curious as to why.

Any ideas?

The "Total Pilot in Command" section. They ask for 100, and I unfortunately have 0.

Total PIC on Airline apps? Or total PIC time? Because you can't get your commercial without 100 pic time. It's counted as sole manipulator of flight controls, not aircraft commander for airline apps.

Please explain your situation. I would call D.R. if you maybe have an exception. Otherwise, pm me if you don't want to talk about it.

Well that explains a lot. If the PIC time is sole manipulator, then I have lots and lots. Just curious, how do you know that Airline Apps considers the PIC as sole manipulator?

And who's D.R.?

DR is in charge of hiring. Give him a call if you meet ATP mins. Great guy and real friendly. Go on our webite under career page to get his number.

On airline apps its asks you to specify student time vs. Instructor time vs. Pic qualified/solo time. So, it throws your numbers off. Just fill it out completely then give him a call.

Per CT today, expecting 12 new hires on the CRJ and 64 on the ERJ in January. No CRJ upgrades planned for January, and 38 ERJ upgrades planned for January.

I'm a corporate pilot trying to break in to the airline industry (so I'm very new to all this), how is xjt on QOL because I'm finding most of the pay is the same but some pilots are put in 1 room hotels with 2+ people for training etc. I'm applying at every airline and just make atp mins and I understand everyone has to pay their dues but just wondering who the best would be to go with as a new hire for a few years. (also don't want a "corporate is better than regional" speech as an answer either) Thanks!

We have one of the best regional contracts (for now). All I can say is choose the regional based on wherr you will live. Or currently live. Commuting to reserve blows.
