The employee website probably allowed him access to the flight ops section.

Only thing he would be able to see there are checklists, which would already be in the plane.

Yeah I do think you are kidding about the polygraphs because that would be illegal, purpletoolbox

Like I stated earlier, google how to start a q400 and a million dweebs have posted on YouTube how to go from a cold dark cockpit to the take off roll. He even says in the audio he’s played video games (assuming me means FSX or something). I know we think we’re all hot shots landing on the moon but flying an airplane (not to standards) isn’t too hard.

What’s illegal about psychological testing? United and AA make you take the hogan, Delta has its whole second day of the interview. What can prevent them from say, having everyone spend 45 minutes with a shrink during recurrent or during your annual medical. We are already required to get a physical; what the difference from the FAA saying let’s check their brains too? I’m sure there’s a lot of pilots out there that would feel more comfortable knowing that they were able to talk to somebody without maybe repercussions or be able to get help instead of hiding something.

We should be thankful this guy went out by himself. I for one don’t want to see an American version of Germanwings before the FAA finally does something about mental health.
