That’s something I’ve heard from a lot of people. Big reason I picked Horizon. Probably just going to ride it out and see where it goes

This! Horizon training is the best in the industry. SkyWest training is mediocre compared to Horizon.

To be excellently trained to sit in a crash pad in Anchorage sounds awesome to me!

You can go to skywest with almost double the training footprint due to delays and then get metered into the majors or come here get the atp and at least you’ve got a union and ability to apply off the street to the big three. Remember training and oe +consolidation is like 4 months so 7-8month guys haven’t really been flying out of training too long. But yea reserve here in anc sucks and I don’t know if it’ll get better or worse as time goes.

If it wasn't for the own-goal of bungling the pilot population, especially in regards to LCA and training pipelines, QX would be the better choice, every time, for the PNW. The 24 months of metering you can expect from DAL if you went to OO definitely changes the math. How long to 1K 121 and then 2 years vs QX?

The math might still be for QX by a wide margin.

I’ll “third” this notion. QX’s training department is outstanding, every step of the way. Their instructors are great at their jobs, but they are even better people.

Well if the training is as good as everyone says and the people care as much as everyone says, I better make it through haha.
