I have no idea. Someone else will need to answer this question.

As of end of March, the most junior FO at GEG was hired October 2022. So probably 7-8 months. Which may seem like a long time but you’ll spend the first 4-4-4.5 months going through training. It’s possible to spend only a month or two at a base outside of your desired base currently.

Default Boise

Anyone know what the current wait is to hold Boise? In the PDP, should be at mins by end of year and looking at SEA and BOI. Thanks!

Unsure if this helps, but talked to an FO that is based out of ANC this weekend and he mentioned I could bid into ANC out of training fairly quickly, but other bases are a bit more popular, so probably more than that from what I gather?

Also the PDP has been suspended for new applicants due to the log of pilots in the PDP and bottleneck with FO's. They said they would be re-opening the PDP to new applicants this fall.

Gotcha, thanks for the response. I am currently in the PDP. Just starting to look at where we want to move when I get my time this year.

It looks Medford has become junior base now

Currently it’s about a year. But that’s just based on most junior FO currently based there. A lot of movement happening as of now though. Everyone in the January class were told we’d all be ANC based. A few of us bid out before we ever got there. So a lot can change in a few months.

Gotcha, that's good news. Were you able to bid out to the base you wanted, or was Medford the only one available that isn't Anchorage?

Medford was the only base available at the time other than ANC. Probably the same case now for those right out of training. I’ve been at the company for 5 months and a few people under me who wanted Boise recently got it. I’m holding out for Seattle or Paine Field which is closer to where I live. Should hopefully be there by August.

Bit off topic, but has Horizon communicated at all about how they are handling all the Q400 pilots transition and where space is left with those coming up in the PDP? Seem like half their fleet is gone and they are not replacing all of them?
