Boise is mostly two day trips, with some three day trips and single day trips in there as well.

We're supposed to be losing Vegas to SKW in a few months, but apparently we're making up for that flying by taking some trips to SLC and SJC or SMF (I can't remember which), that SKW had been doing.

Boise is a lot cheaper to live in than Seattle or Portland (and the traffic is nowhere near as bad), and the weather is pretty nice most of the year, although the city does a spectacularly bad job of clearing roads if it snows.

From what I've heard, QX is really happy with how BOI has been working out (we've added RON aircraft, while GEG and MFR have both lost some), so it sounds like they're planning on keeping the base open for the foreseeable future.

As of a couple of weeks ago, the assistant chief pilot here said that BOI was slightly overstaffed on FO's, but given how high attrition has been recently, you'd probably be able to get based here within a couple of bids.

If you have any more questions about BOI, feel free to ask here or shoot me a PM.

I'd say QX is probably losing 12-14 pilots per month (not counting upgrades), which is pretty significant in a company that only has about 600 people on the seniority list.

I Don't have exact numbers in front of me... But I suspect the answer is pretty close to zero.

Just over 8 years. But read back in this thread to see the hiring gaps.
