I applied on April 1st, got an email on the 6th with 3 possible interview dates. The possible interview dates were the April 8th, 13th, or 15th. I interviewed the 13th and got offered a position. There was still one opening for an April 27th class date, but May was wide open (May 11th and 25th I think). I took June 8th because of prior committments.

Just a heads up to anyone thinking of coming here... The union announced today that there will be no big jets and that we'll need to take pay concessions in order for the company to entertain the idea of getting seventy seat jets to replace the q400s that are coming off leases soon instead of giving the flying to Skywest. Sound familiar? Btw compass is opening a sea base and their upgrade is less than a year.

And that's on top of the "ongoing discussions" about shutting down the bases in BOI, MFR and GEG.
If they decide to close bases when that group meets again this fall while we're being pushed for concessions, it's gonna be fun finding new hires to replace the people that decide to quit.
"We don't have jets, but might get some if we all take pay and benefit cuts, we have no flow to Alaska, and we closed half of our bases after having them for less than five years. Come work here, we have HUD's and iPads!!!"

What happens next? How long before you'll be asked to vote? How long until you learn your fate (assuming they're serious and turning down concessions would also lead to fewer aircraft, fewer pilots required, etc.)? How can any regional think of asking for concessions when they're already having a hard time filling classes?
Just curious; not like I have a class date coming up soon or anything...
