Yeah, especially by a wide margin. 69% yes? They have NOTHING to give up. How can you take home 15k-17k a year and believe that? Gotta keep my job that pays less than mcdonalds! Same goes for us.

I am by no means optimistic but there is still a shred of hope that we might not pass it since our vote doesn't close until Friday. I think whatever happens will happen regardless of this TA. Besides, if AAG wants to have their cake and eat it too with this contract, they will find a way (like they did with the CRJ's being operated by "Air Group").
If you vote no and this thing doesn't pass and we shrink, be happy that you found out now while there are tons of opportunities out there. One thing is for damn sure, if they have any interest in doing that, they will regardless of this TA. That being said, way too much is happening right now for that to be on their radar.

I really hope this doesn't pass... The current QX jet rates are a great starting point for what all airlines operating similar sized jets should be paying at a minimum. Having this will help for future negotiating at other carriers. Heck every time I bring up the rates to guys I fly with now most can't believe it. Even the Q rates top the jet rates at SkyWest!

Don't forget kids, Alaska made over a billion dollars in pure profit. If we aren't cheap enough now, we are never going to be. We will be right back here again in 2018 voting on the next round of concessions "or else!"

Yep. Too many NO voters went in to road shows and got a heavy dose of "we did the best we could" "the flying WILL go to skywest" "we will NOT go back to the table" etc from our union EXCO and came out yes voters.

Forbes Welcome
Alaska is also considering its options and, according to Becker, is looking at the Embraer 190 that also fits the regional/mainline gap. Key for Alaska is reaching an agreement with pilots and flight attendants to replace its turbo-prop, 76-seat Q400s with 30 76-seat Embraer 175s, according to Becker. The airline said it wants to become more competitive by switching to regional jets, which also provide more range.
“If they don’t get favorable economics from Horizon pilots and flight attendants they will send out an RFP (request for proposal) to SkyWest and Republic to see if someone else can do the flying,” said Becker. “Barring that, they might have to consider buying a smaller mainline aircraft or keep the Q400s in service longer to fill the gaps. The E190 is a good plane with great range.”
