i have no reason to doubt what you are saying, as you are clearly well-versed in the history of this stuff. however, it just isn't true that the prices are identical for things. i do zed fares more often than anything else, and also for my girlfriend and for my mom, and prices are different, not the same. i am not saying they have huge differences. i haven't created some sort of spreadsheet or anything.

but i'll just give you an example. zed fare low for my mom from ord to lax is always cheaper on American than on united. it's not a huge difference, but it is different.

maybe it comes down to taxes and fees or something? i don't know, i haven't looked that closely at it. but going back and forth to Europe last year and 3 years ago, there was also a lot of variety in pricing within categories, and some mediums were more expensive than another high, etc.

again, i don't know the way it all works, i am just giving my experiences.

Interesting observation.... apparently some companies are playing fast and loose with their "taxes/fees" calculation.
If you notice a wide disparity, I'd invite you to bring it up to your companies interline/pass office as the whole point of the ZED system to have a level and transparent interline fare system based on LOW/MED/HIGH ZED standardized rates agreed to among the airlines based on their mutual agreements.
If no one holds them accountable, then I suppose we deserve the system we get.

Default Travel

Regarding travel, my status is not-married, no kids.

Can I simply name an individual (travel companion) to have on my travel benefits who would travel at my priority (same as spouse, for example) and be eligible for ZEDs on other carriers?

Or, are these benefits extended only to spouses/children/parents?

Are there annual opt-in or other fees (aside from charges on MyIdTravel)?

Are B6 employees allowed to give buddy passes to friends&family?

Thank you!

Default ZED vs NON Rev

Does Jet Blue have Non Rev (with AA, DL and UA) as well as ZED or just ZED?

Besides priority for regionals being lower they effectively get the same benefits as mainline pilots, do Jetblue get that as well.

I understand with European carriers like Lufthansa, Air France etc it will always be ZED but wondering about US Carriers.

Regionals get it because they fly for those carriers
