Plus, regimes always change. The next MEC/NC team may be significantly more warrior-like and deliver results. We still need the framework afforded by a union. We just need to fix B6ALPA by getting rid of these "regional mentality" people with their substandard expectations.

I don't understand the mindset of taking off the union stuff right now. We don't have a done deal, we don't even have a TA. It seems like some guys are in the 'We have an AIP so we have a deal now' mentality, but until we have a voted for, signed, in affect contract, I will do my job and no more.

I also love the "Contract above all" because that seems to pi$$ management off.

You KNOW I really didn't. I was softening my message for the guys who were already taking the lanyards and bag tags off...

The AIP has raises and work rules that start DOS and AFTER. They are gonna drag this out until the next ice-age. Saving MILLIONS in the process. Even when we have an AIP to pay us almost dead-last, they still won't even do that!

This mentality exemplifies the pilot group. The airline and the union send out an AIP and Jetblue pilots begin stepping over themselves to help, vote YES, and believe this is the best we can get.

This truly is a pathetic place to work.

They will only get the message if we strike. These are terrible people and they lie and deceive constantly. They deserve no respect or trust as an adversary.

You are not even a JB pilot.

And that's the bigger battle. The contract is just our current issue. The biggest problem is this regional, defeatist, enabler, stockholm syndrome attitude people here have deeply in their blood. We just have to keep calling out their behavior. If we don't, the psychological operation of "culture" defines a "new normal" where you learn to accept a level of disrespect as normal. Call out your co-workers. Teach them what is the "regional mentality". We can create our own culture of professional pilots regardless of what some company wants. Think of yourselves as medical doctors... you act a certain way and demand certain standards no matter what hospital you have privileges at.
