I hear ya. I wasn't saying your statement was poppycock, but there has to be more to their reasons than that, IMO. But again, that's one of the great things about this industry. Just about any want/need can be accommodated.

Dude. Most normal people take what others tell them at face value. Guy says to me, "I came to the 190 to get away from the crappy schedules and hold a line." What do you recommend? Should I say, "Poppycock!!!"

Jesus...

IDK, you tell me. Several people here tell us that working for JB sucks. What do you say to THAT?

I say that personal experience is, well, personal. People tend to make themselves miserable by comparing themselves to others (there are lots of studies on the phenomenon), and I don't doubt that they aren't happy if they say they aren't happy. And you know what, they are entitled to be unhappy working here if that's the choice they make. It isn't the choice that I would make, but life is what we choose for it to be. Their opinion has absolutely zero impact on me, so it is none of my business.

That's what I say to THAT.

Now, living in base, or being able to hold a line on the 190 vs 320 RSV, I can see. Me? I don't care if I fly, and doing 1-2 legs per day, even on RSV, beats 4-5 legs a day holding a line. And that's the beauty of this job, just about any desire can be accommodated pretty easily.

190 is a cash cow for those living in base....that could be the reason.

I hear it isn't as good as it was say 6 months ago.... the pairing quality has gone down (summmer is summer for premium pay) but i still don't think I can credit the numbers I was crediting from what I am hearing from guys still on the plane.

It’s definitely still there. Takes a little seniority, skill and some luck. Staffing is much better than it was 6 months ago, I agree.
