That was my plan to begin with. Get the Bus, and figure out the best routing to FLL. Are the base trade list posted somewhere? I guess once in the system, this information will become available.

Thanks for the info. Appreciate the input.

I have tried to search the threads for this answer, but I am coming up short.

Thanks in advance.
Unfortunately you just missed a huge wave in FLL this year. No idea if it’ll continue moving forward.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t believe you can trade into FLL..
Any position requiring additional training isn’t trade eligible.

You can trade into FLL if you’re a bus guy.

Naw, that's not true. LAQT is required training, but it's not like an aircraft swap. Any bus driver can get to FLL from any other base, and ahead of those more senior who already got it via system bid.

As to the OP asking how to base trade, you have to contact the company and have your name put on the list, then wait for someone who wants to leave FLL and move to your base. In seniority order, of course. The list if viewable online once you're on property. I believe you have to contact them each month to remain on the list, but not 100% sure about that part.

Has the 190 generally gone more senior than the bus lately due to better QOL or is it mixed?

Hoping to get the bus here but I am on the younger side age wise.

While your reasoning is largely correct, the allure of the Bus still makes it the more senior plane among new hires. Don’t sweat getting the 190, it’s a good plane and you’ll be getting a reprieve from middle of the night reserve 320 flying.

Forgive me for asking this. I am sure this has been covered. Just can't find a thread with the info and I am aware that things change. Here it goes. Is KBOS/FO still super senior on the bus? The last I read for KBOS is that if you want Boston as a base right off the bat the EMB is the only way. Just trying to get some info before bidding next week. Thanks all.

Another reason is not that the bus is better, it’s that people are sick of the 190 flying. If you’re coming from a northeast regional on the 170, you are stepping into the exact flying you’ve been doing for the last 5-10 years with a few exceptions.

The June system bid left 39 BOS 320 slots available to new hires . I would assume there is still going to be some availability, when you start class next week . You will be told what is exactly available before you bid .
