“Gear up, shut up” has always worked very well for me in the past. Thanks for your concern.

I bet 74% would vote yes to no personal headsets.

This issues that some in this group hyper focus on is staggering.

Who cares! Handle it for yourself.

It’s in your power.

Really!!!! ... just look left or right for a split second and then it’s a dead issue unless you have to make a mountain out of a something that lasts 2 seconds at most.

Such drama!!!

I see no problem with not plugging back in the headset. If you neatly put it up I think it’s a non issue. Take care of your own cockpit when you get in the plane. If the headset is hanging and not plugged in that is annoying.

This guy gets it....I really don’t understand why there is so much drama with this. Though what would an anonymous internet forum with pilots be without the drama.

I’d prefer you get your schít out of the cockpit, quit dumpster diving and flirting with the cart Donkey’s so I can plug my headset in and turn on the APU. Im on my way to the overnight and the beer isn’t gonna drink itself.

How many of you guys worries about the germs use the TV remote in the hotel? You get in that shower? Mmmmh. Yea.

But seriously? Plugged unplugged? Who gives a rats poop hole. You put your iPad in don’t you? Program the FMS? FFD? Is it that hard to spend the 2.4seconds to plug or unplug?

The things we complain about.

I didn’t think this thread would be such a hit.

You must have brake fans?

Yes, we do. And even with them, the brakes are sometimes released when the crew leaves if the brakes are hot and it's a turning acft.

In a previous life we released the brakes immediately after receiving the chocks in sign and they were left off until the next walk around. Airbus and Boeing. Even with brake fans. Of course unless there was a specific reason to have the brakes on.
