2 It would cost money.
3(a) They know but there is nothing they can do because you know branding
3(b) They know and don’t care.
1 and 2 are correct you decide on number 3

I care, Have to wear it every day at work. But I’m sure if you go buy a coat or what not you
buy the least functional and poor fitting one.
Yeah we don’t “buy” them but still they are a joke and something that could actually be fixed.

It ain’t like they are cheap either. The company marks uniforms items up to Nordstrom’s prices with target quality.

It's a button up shirt with stripes on it and pants. I've had mine for a few years and it hasn't fallen apart (Except for 1 out of my 3 ties that started to come unstitched). I even like the discreet overcoat without stripes on it. Never been a fan of the whole pilot monkey suit, be it a white shirt, pink shirt or blue shirt. I have way more important things to worry about (Like the reserve grid system setup, ability to drop/swap trips and contractual language) then to get worked up over if my shirt is blue or white.
In a past life I could wear a simple button up or golf shirt with no stripes and no tie and black slacks. That was my pilot uniform. Unless we're fighting to get that then I couldn't care less, because that was the most comfortable uniform I ever wore.

I love that we're all turning into the fashion police now. Explain how they are a joke? Pretty sure every other airline wears a variant of the same thing.

It is possible to multi task our gripes. I'd also agree that the RSV grid is at the top of the list.
-Shirts fit if youre potato size.
-Ties frey and fall apart.
-Belt delaminates within a year and I'm a RSV guy who doesn't fly a lot.
-the "suiting jacket" also horrible fit as well as some sort of anti skid liner that you have to tuck your sleeves into in order to keep them from riding into your armpits every time you put it on.
-While I'm also a fan of the pea coat as it is the most incognito garment we have now, it's a sponge and my FO's get to do the wet walk. Also it's a hair and dust magnet nearly impossible to keep clean. Got kids?
Since I've been here we've gone through at least 3-4 renditions of the shirt. New pants. Tossed the leather jacket and somehow the sweater is acceptable, JMO but it just looks tacky. I'm really not sure why when we went to the lengths we did to hire "Stan Herman" renowned designer that we couldn't have managed function with form and design. I get no white shirts, don't really care what color it is either. But if our uniform is part of the brand, why don't they want the brand to look top notch on every one of their walking billboards?
I quit trying to fix this stuff years ago. Now I just focus on safety.
