I paid probably $60 out of my own pocket to get my jacket and pants tailored as a new hire. No $200 available. Didn’t get my shirts tailored but they need it. I’m gonna buy ACA with my own money instead for probably $100, using money out of my pocket.

Second year, I bought two new shirts and had them tailored out of my uniform allowance. I get all the arguments about this not being "free", but I used the money for what it was intended. I don't buy luggage I don't need and hawk it on Ebay as some may do. Roll over what you can, but it becomes "use it or lose it" money. I'm playing with house money.

I get this argument. For me, I just prefer to wear something that fits well. It makes the day easier to get through. If you don’t tailor your stuff for this reason, that’s fine.

This ^^ exactly what I was thinking. How hard would this be. Not only do our current uniforms look ridiculous, they have the quality of 3rd world sweat shop. It’s embarrassing. Oh, and God forbid you need a blazer in a Tall, that’s gonna be 9 month back order...at best. I don’t know what’s worse, our joke of a vendor or the company for allowing this atrocity.

I seem to remember that, back in the day, the uniform shirt was actually the same shade as the current TSA royal blue? Also, saw more than a few pilots with goatees back then. Was there a time when facial hair, other than a mustache, was allowed?

Which is what they are counting on.
Our values, character and integrity are a weakness to this type of management style.
JetBlue used to supply a quality uniform that fit and tailored them.
Now they don’t. Solution? They pilot group will do it.
Pilots enabling management has a greater affect on the profession than my ballon power blue shirt.
