We’re not saying the same thing. The money in the uniform bank is MY MONEY. It’s out of my pocket.
I hope you are but a small minority come C2022.

Damn. Anything can easily set off a 5 page thread. On this episode, free vs not free. Next episode, rice vs sticky rice?

I forgot about blue shirt V2! The ones that your t shirt stuck out the sleeve! The body was cut like a garbage bag and the arm holes cut like paper towel rolls. Thanks Warren.

For the tailoring guys... tailoring isn’t free you can elect to have it deducted from your uniform stipend, but it’s the same $200 you get to buy uniforms. Choosing between a new shirt or tailoring an old one isnt my idea of paid for by the company.

actually that was the original shirt that came with the uniform. Before that was the one that wouldn’t fade.

not quite, their was one in between. The original was good then good and fit well. Warren was tasked with a new shirt (only) and came up with a members only-ish, nylon shirts that was cut like a garbage bag with paper towel dispenser tubes for arms that were too short. Then.... the window pane uniform came out with a gray blue shirt, now our latest iteration of the blue shirt which is the van husen, only because no one was wearing the light blue one that the company “provided”.

I paid probably $60 out of my own pocket to get my jacket and pants tailored as a new hire. No $200 available. Didn’t get my shirts tailored but they need it. I’m gonna buy ACA with my own money instead for probably $100, using money out of my pocket.

I will not pay out of pocket to make up for the company's incompetence.

They will get what they pay for.

When I started, we used The Field Shops in Miami. Excellent product and THEY tailored the uniform to fit us. It was a quality uniform and it fit well. Now, the company seems to think it is acceptable for us to measure ourselves and take time out of our personal lives to take our pieces to our local tailor. Now, the company uses sub-standard uniforms and a sub-standard supplier (HPI). If that is what they want, then so be it.

Gup
