I liked the Wilburys. I think Tom Petty was the real architect behind their music.

Jeff Lynne, actually. Back in the late 80s he co-wrote most of Roy, Tom, and George’s solo hits.

Why are Democrats now practicing all the same tactics (e.g. censorship) used by Nazis, Soviets, Chinese Communists, etc.?
I usually am in complete agreement with what you write. This is false, NAZI's were fascist, not socialist. Even Trump knows this. Look at his statement from yesterday.

"April 25, 2020, marks the 75th Anniversary of the historic meeting between American and Soviet troops, who shook hands on the damaged bridge over the Elbe River. This event heralded the decisive defeat of the Nazi regime.

The meeting on the Elbe represented a culmination of tremendous efforts by the many countries and peoples that joined forces under the framework of the United Nations Declaration of 1942. This common struggle required enormous sacrifice by millions of soldiers, sailors, and citizens in multiple theaters of war.

We also recognize the contributions from millions of men and women on the home front, who forged vast quantities of war materials for use around the world. Workers and manufacturers played a crucial role in supplying the allied forces with the tools necessary for victory.

The “Spirit of the Elbe” is an example of how our countries can put aside differences, build trust, and cooperate in pursuit of a greater cause. As we work today to confront the most important challenges of the 21st century, we pay tribute to the valor and courage of all those who fought together to defeat fascism. Their heroic feat will never be forgotten."

To be fair, the Nazi party was officially the “National Socialist German Workers’ Party” but they weren’t socialist in the Marxist/communist sort of way we think of socialism today.

Also, terminal 5 is still deserted.

Telling others they are to fast when picking up trips on FLICA. That sounds like money well spent? We have way bigger fish to fry than act like children where one kids ice cream cone is bigger than the other.
How flica trips are awarded does not matter to the company, they just want the trips covered. This can be changed in Section 6 with essentially ZERO negotiating capital being used.

I don't know the best answer, it can't be all seniority, and it can't be like it is now where the IT geniuses/flica refreshers/bot boys and cartels get 99.99% of all the awards.

Maybe the award goes to lowest credit among those who responded within 120 seconds from the alert going out.

Maybe highest seniority among those who responded within 120 seconds from alert going out.

But not the current system. Something has to neutralize the IT geniuses/flica refreshers/bot boys and cartels.

And they must be incredibly fast if they are winning the Flica race and crediting 150 to 200 hours when other pilots are trying and can’t pick up one trip. Even if bots aren’t being used (Which I find hard to believe since apparently a few people are consistently getting the trips) why not change the system to make it more balanced? And I’m not even sure we have to wait to for the next contract to get the change. It’s a simple change that doesn’t cost the company anything. In times of change many things are possible. Just like the fact that London slots or LAX gates might now become available to JetBlue, a simple change in a computer program might be available to JetBlue pilots.
Agree, this will cost no negotiating capital and needs to be changed to a more balanced system.

Agree. You shouldn’t have to be tech savvy to have a shot. It should be as fair as can be and I’m not sure it is. I definitely don’t buy guys hitting refresh all the time and oh they always get the trips.

exactly. If the same guys are getting most trips you know something is wrong.

If Jordan, Gretzky, and Brady keep winning you know something is wrong.

These guys/gals have committed so much time and resources to being good at the “game” that’s why they keep getting trips. I’ve seen one of the alleged guilty walk around with his laptop open in the terminal, the bus, etc. I don’t like it either but don’t whine. Figure out a way to get better.
