Throw in a few more 321s this year and 10 next year, I’m hopeful there won’t be displacements/downgrades other than those generated by LGB/LAX. Gonna be interesting to see the numbers. There’s also 15 or so retirements this year and 45 next...most of which are 320CAs. That could also reduce some of the potential downgrades.

I don't think you have to worry about a Cares 2.0 for airlines. Not much steam behind it. Airlines got their fill from the 1st one and certainly got their fill with by backs before Covid. Public does not have much more remorse for us.....imho

I doubt cares 2 would have payroll grants again. But I think it would have been smart to protect pilots in case it did. I just don't think it will have grants in it, so I think it will be a moot point.

What If, we had union representation that covered all possibilities before signing away a pay cut?

Some of you are in la-la land with the reality of the industry. Hell I have friends in the corporate world who are losing hard days off for more work because times are so bad, yet we're moaning about keeping everyone employed and trading 2 days for 5hrs of pay.
Also I know this is the WHAT IF but no way in hell any more money comes the way of the airlines. Public opinion is already low enough to begin with for our industry. To tell people who are making a household of $60k/yr that they need to again fund pilots paychecks won't go over very well at all.

What if there's no employment protections if it does?
What if the DOT or DOJ doesn't approve the Code share?
What if AA pulls out?
What if JB pulls out?
What if we voted it down against our own best judgment because we didn't have all the relevant information and we ended up voting 30% of our workforce to the street...
What if...
It's a good deal with a sunset and a snapback. I guess we can't have everything.

Yep. What if the MEC was already on it.
The MEC has taken into consideration the possibility of such legislation passing and how it would impact components of Letter of Agreement (LOA) 12. Protecting the quality of JetBlue pilot careers is paramount for your MEC, and today we are pleased to share that management has agreed to Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) 11, which would go into effect if JetBlue should receive government economic assistance beyond September 30, 2020.
Upon JetBlue receiving such assistance, the parts of LOA 12 scheduled to go into effect for the limited duration of October 2020 through April 2021—specifically sections B through H—would no longer do so. These sections include the temporary changes to Average Line Value, Reserve and Instructor guarantees, Minimum Days Off, and Hybrid Lines. Instead, these sections will revert to the language in our CBA. However, the furlough protections through May 1, 2021, furlough pay for furloughs after May 1, 2021, and the section related to code-share agreements would remain....
