actually spoke to one of the yes voting jfk lec reps this morning for an hour. Tried to tell me what the good deal was but never got around to telling me....he did however inform me the company is unwilling to commit to profit sharing and anything above 2% cola is too much. My take away was if they weren’t willing to give us things that were free for now (PS and a future raise) then I guess it’s not that important for this to get passed. Also there will be talk of furloughs without the deal but there will in fact be no furloughs.

vote No boys and save our futures

I love this. The company is unwilling to talk about it so here you go vote on this.

So if we vote no the deal is dead and we furlough? There is no way they are just going to walk away from this. I feel like we are in used car negotiations.

Agree. If they want it that bad, suddenly a non-starter will become a starter...

And we still need tighter scope and more guarantees in my opinion.

That right there is what really scares to me. Everyone is/was talking about what they would need to say yes to this deal. But that was when everyone thought it was short term codeshare relief. Now that we know how bad it really is, we need to quit talking about PS and COLA. Those items are not nearly enough to say yes to gutting our scope! The answer is no longer “I’m a no unless they add...” It’s now “No way would I consider voting for this!!”

That’s where I’m totally confused. They say they want this and need this yet they offer us CRAP.

Look if I really want to buy a house I would probably have an all cash offer and by it as is.

This is like the guy who really wants the house offering 100k off the home price saying you are lucky to get this offer don’t come back with a counter oh and it’s full of contingency’s that work in my favor. You are welcome.

They can add these things (PS, 3-5%, etc) and I’ll listen...but only if they take away the proposed scope gives first. Until then, they can abide by the CBA and LOA12.

My guess is they just wanted to send a turd to be able to say that whatever happens next is ALL our fault. They probably knew that this has no chance of passing. Make it easier to go to court and cry greedy pilots.

Court cannot throw out our CBA unless they are in bankruptcy.

The only path is negotiations with ALPA.

Incorrect.
Theoretically, we could vote no, and then the company can just go ahead with it anyway and deliberately violate the contract.
In that case, ALPA would grieve the violation, it would eventually see the NMB, and we would get what? A cease and desist?
Just saying the only path isn't negotiations within the RLA and the current structure.

Dudes - nobody I have read has mentioned this but they NEED this for the MERGER. Your scope clause is merger poison and they know it. AA needs the merger to survive.

You guys may all flow.
